Endo-Pat2000

Endothelial Function Assessment with Endo-PAT2000

Endo-PAT2000 System is a noninvasive method to evaluate endothelial function. Endo-PAT2000 adds an important dimension to cardiovascular prevention by enabling physicians to reliably measure endothelial function and identify pathological cases of endothelial dysfunction. Endothelial dysfunction is the earliest clinically detectable stage of cardiovascular disease.

  • Endothelial Function Applications:
  • Basic science and clinical research
  • Pharmacological protocols - assessment of drug efficacy
  • Primary prevention of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) - implementation of clinical protocols for early diagnosis
  • Evaluation of treatment protocols

Endo-PAT2000 is an easy to use, office-based device for assessing endothelial function. The PAT signal is recorded using Itamar Medical's, noninvasive, pneumatic, finger bio-sensor. The data recorded is analyzed automatically. Advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms and reports are available within seconds of completing the test.

  • Endo-PAT2000 – Assessing Endothelial Function
  • Noninvasive
  • Easy to use
  • User independent

  • Supports both clinical and research applications
  • Reliable and reproducible results
  • FDA cleared and CE marked
Endo-PAT2000 Enables Michael L. Gelb DDS, MS, to Communicate Better with Internists and Cardiologists

Endothelial Dysfunction is more than the independent risk factor it has been shown to be in the past 2 decades since its discovery. In the last few years it has been viewed as the “risk factor of the risk factors”, the sum effect of the pathogen burden on the vasculature. By further research, there is currently a paradigm shift that atherosclerosis is the clinical manifestation of the disease called endothelial dysfunction.

If you imagine a tree, whose roots are the CV risk factors and its branches are vascular disease, endothelial dysfunction would be the trunk, the common pathway of disease progression.

The Endo Pat2000 is the only scientifically proven, non-invasive method for assessing endothelial function, which is FDA approved. Utilized by leading medical centers, Pharma industry and large CV risk prevention clinical trials, the Endo-PAT2000 has over 50 publications and abstracts validating it, positioning it as the leading technology for non-invasive endothelial function assessment

We at the Center are incorporating this technology in our daily practice as a result of a study done in Israel with Professor Lavie from the Technion and Dr. Glenn Clark from USC.

This study showed a normalization of endothelial dysfunction (ED) after oral appliance therapy. The same improvement occurs with CPAP presumably from increased nitric oxide levels.

With suboptimal ED levels, we will be referring our patients to internists and cardiologists for cardiovascular follow up.
