This is used for both acute and chronic pain relief, inflammation/swelling reduction, muscle re-education and/or reducing muscle spasm. The application of the electric stimulation is applied either with pads over the skin, or it can be attached to actual acupuncture needles so the penetration is deeper into the area being treated.
